Giants Draft Miami Safety Kenny Phillips

They had a similar long-distance love affair last year when they picked cornerback Aaron Ross in the first round after giving him the cold shoulder for much of the pre-draft process. Philadelphia, 1 p.m. And so the Giants selected Phillips, the latest safety from the University of Miami to blast onto the NFL scene, with the 31st and final pick in the first round of Saturday’s draft. They have six picks to make Sunday in rounds three through six.
