Holocaust Remembrance Day
Along with remembering the six million Jews killed in the Holocaust, the ceremony will honour the accomplishments of survivors both in Israel and in Canada. As part of the candle-lighting ceremony, a candle will be lit in recognition of the Righteous Among The Nations, those individuals who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust. Holocaust Remembrance Day is co-sponsored by the Canadian Society for Yad Vashem and the UJA Federation Holocaust Centre of Toronto.
