How Do You Replace J Leman?
Leman suffered an ankle injury in the Illini’s loss to Southern California in the Rose Bowl, and subsequently had surgery. He didn’t start running until recently, and the injury was a factor in the draft. Scouts had question about his speed, which he couldn’t answer because he was forced to drop out of the East-West Shrine game and couldn’t run at the NFL combine in February. He is expected to be at full speed in time for the first minicamp of whatever team he signs with, his agents said last week.
