Superbug Not Impacting Belleville
Two patients are suspected of having been infected with MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), said Niagara Health System’s Frank Demizio, vice-president of clinical services, on Tuesday. Demizio, who is responsible for site direction at the Niagara Falls hospital, said Tuesday 1-2 patients in the hospital’s surgical ward, Brock wing, have been infected with MRSA since March 28. Neither patient is in a life-threatening condition.
