1 Killed In International Paper Plant Explosion
A company spokeswoman says the explosion happened as a boiler at the mill was started after an annual maintenance shutdown. The manager of environment health and safety says at least 400 employees were on site at the time of the blast. A hospital nursing supervisor in Vicksburg says 5 of the injured are being transferred to a burn center in Augusta, Georgia. She says the others have been treated and that “no patients had been admitted.”
