2008 Tony Award Nominations
The 2008 Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. Legitimate theatrical productions opening in any of the 34 eligible Broadway theatres during the current season may be considered for Tony nominations. The Tony Awards will be voted in 26 competitive categories by 795 members of the theatrical community. Based on a recommendation by the American Theatre Critics Association, the Chicago Shakespeare Theater will be the recipient of the 2008 Regional Theatre Tony Award accompanied by a grant of $25,000 sponsored by Visa U.S.A.
