Except photos like this, done professionally as art, have meaning. This is not a candid photo of father and daughter lounging at the park. Miley’s eyes are piercing, looking right at the viewer, giving the image a very strong feeling of voyeurism, of looking in at something that perhaps one ought not to have seen. Especially given the midriff and the jutting hipbones, all of which is below belly button level, dangerously close to revealing even more.
