I didn’t grow up in Vermont, but I grew up in a Vermont state of mind. Living within sight of the Green Mountains, I identify more with the Vermonter mentality than anyone who lived their youth south of Albany. I too grew up with covered bridges, maple sugar shacks, and untamed forests waiting to be explored. This state of mind hearkens back to a simpler time.
