Jellyfish Invasion Hits Europe But Hawaii Still Safe
Like other jellyfish, the box jellyfish have neither a head nor a central brain; but unlike other jellyfish, they have well-developed eyes and display visually guided behavior. The box jellyfishs sting attacks the heart, nervous system and skin cells. Adult box jellyfish spawn at mouths of rivers during late summer (keep in mind this is around March in the Southern Hemisphere). The Box Jellyfish (also known as a Sea Wasp) is a very dangerous creature to inhabit Australian waters.
