Marvel Announces Iron Man Sequel, Thor, Captain America And Avengers
In its official press release, Marvel says the opening of Iron Man this weekend brought in an estimated domestic (USA) box office total of $101million for Friday, Saturday and Sunday (May 2 to 4). Worldwide, Iron Man has generated $201million in box office to date. It will not release any movies in 2009 but aims to focus on two movies for 2010 - an Iron Man sequel and the first Thor movie, which has been stuck in a ‘holding pattern.’
