Portland Pirates Ice Providence Bruins 3-2 - AHL Playoffs
Portland will return to the conference finals for the second time in three years. The Penguins captured the East Division finals in five games and will return to the Eastern Conference finals for the first time since 2004. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton grabbed a 1-0 lead with 46 seconds to go in the first period on rookie Dustin Jeffreys second goal in as many games. Darren Reid knotted it for the Phantoms seven minutes into the middle stanza, with Jonathon Kalinski and Triston Grant picking up the helpers.
