Washington State Lottery Uses Candy Logos, Drawing Minors
The Lottery’s mission, as prescribed by the state legislature, is to maximize revenue in a method “consonant with the dignity of the state and the general welfare of the people. To that effect, a board appointed by the governor watches over the Lottery management. Governor Chris Gregoire put a stop to this position, noting that advertising targeting 18-year-olds also could appeal to those under 18.
