Former Ridgeway swimmer Gil Stovall says he owes a lot to his brother, Brooks, who served six months in Iraq after leaving Auburn. Brooks Stovall put a promising swimming career behind him to join the Army, but brother Gil uses him as motivation on a daily basis. That he managed to recover much of what he lost over the past year — a year that took him to Iraq and back — mystifies even him.
