ADP Says Economy Shed Jobs In June

In June, according to the ADP national employment report, released Wednesday by payroll giant Automatic Data Processing and consultancy Macroeconomic Advisers. This months decrease in employment was broad-based across industrial sectors and suggests continued weakness in employment, said Joel Prakken, chairman of Macroeconomic Advisers. ADPs report does not include government jobs, which in May rose by 17,000.
