( views/opinions expressed by Doug on this blog are not of the ND Game & Fish Dept. All readers in the eastern portion of ND have been bombarded with Fargo Marathon stuff..and don’t get me wrong I like to run. About 45 minutes 4 days a week. I’m thinking for my part in the Fargo Marathon I’ll try to fish for about 4 hours straight. Go ahead and think that is easy, but a guy as scatter brained and with the attention span of a 2 year old, doing anything for four hours is a stretch.

One of the rebuttals I often run across is that critics like that dont think in the long term. They assume that any change will be devastating and permanent, when most of the time changes are temporary and their devastating consequences greatly exaggerated. Whats happenning in India then, seems to be a good illustration of this point; while there may have been brain drain for a while, in the end, a lot of people go home.

My readers in New York unfortunately have no idea what a street festival should really be. Not a real street festival.
